Little Black Sandals

I'm being dragged down, down by the hand
The hand of a golden giant man
He's crushing my knuckles
Splitting my skin, he says he'll let go
If only I'd ask it of him

He says
Girl, it's your call
You wanna fly
You wanna fall?
So I shout
I wanna get away from you
As fast as I can
I tell my feet to move it
I hope they have a plan

(CHORUS)
These little black sandals
Are walking me away
These little black sandals
Are heading the right way

These little black sandals
Are walking me away
These little black sandals
Saved my life today

So now I'm free
Freee-ee-e
From the big bad giant
Who was stalking me
Thank you feet, for guiding me
I'm glad somehow I got brains down there, at least

(CHORUS)

Sometimes I'm tempted
Sometimes I am
I would be lying if I said i didn't miss that giant man
He was the line between pleasure and pain
But me and the feet have some years to reclaim

(CHORUS)

yea so the bold things and italicized things are both related to different things...  and the bigger it is, the more important...  haha...  usually i tried to bold the things that I would put with Jesus or a struggle to be like Him...  the black sandals and the feet to me make most sense to actually represent Jesus...  They are the things that saved you from the giant man, what i took to be sin in my own mind...  You have to have a PLAN and you have the CHOICE to follow Him but you have to actually start walking...  You can either fly or fall...  and the temptation is obviously actually temptation...  :\ haha...  you always want to go back to that giant man that had you in the beginning...

WAAAALL•EE and EEV-AA

AAAHHHH...!!  I've been frustrated cause I couldn't think of anything to say...   :\   And then I had a Eureka! moment... but I can't figure a way to do it...  So when I do, I'll put it up here as soon as I can...  :|   Haha...

Ok, so Thursdays are my favorite day of the week...  :]  One: I get to go to Altær.   Yay...  :D  Two: School starts an hour later than usual because we have this "Growth Period" thing...  We get the opportunity to go in early for test make-up or help on a lab or w/e you may need to do that week... Hooray! 6 hour school day...  haha... and this week it was especially special because I downloaded one of my favorite movies ever: WALL•E...  :]  Such an awesomely good movie...

So as I said WALL•E is one of, if not, my favorite movie ever...  The whole movie talks about love and taking care of everything...  Our bodies, Earth, whatever...  That's what really made me love this movie...  The fact that we were given this BEAUTIFUL planet to live on and to help keep it safe... We've trashed it...  :|  Destroying a lot of the world's ecosystems is definitely a wonderful way to help preserve this one thing...  And considering astronomers still have not been able to find a habitable planet in the dozen-ish years they've been looking gives me a lot of hope for when we eventually blow everything up...  Cause we're awesome at that...  :\  And anyway, even if we did find a planet that could harbor life, it wouldn't really matter cause we wouldn't be able to get there within half of a century...

Some of the most unique things you can ever see are natural...  :\  And to think we don't care and are just destroying everything for malls and other random, useless buildings...  One of my favorite and weirdest animals lives in Madagascar and is a cousin to both lemurs and us... The Aye-aye...

Its middle finger is specially made for its eating habits... The Aye-aye eats grubs that are found inside the bark of trees...  It taps its long, thin middle finger against the bark rapidly and listens for changes in the sound it makes...  When it changes it knows that the area is hollow, which means that there is a bug there tunneling its way through the tree bark...  Really unique and well made to do what it does...  A really weird plant is the rafflesia...  It grows in rain forests where can be up to 3 feet wide and weigh 15 pounds...   O.O   That's a BIG flower...  And that's what it is...  ONE BIG FLOWER...  It has no stem or leaves so it attaches to a host vine...  The flower attracts flies to pollinate it by having the stink of rotting meat...  Appetizing...
There is a world of so much we don't know... But people don't care...  They just want to make a lot of money... And die miserably...  :|

So anyway...  I think I'm done with my rant for tonight...  :\  haha... I wasn't really trying to get a point across (though if you got a good one... I'm not complaining... haha), I was trying to be informative and I'm going to say that we should have a fascination with everything that we come across...  Cause no matter how mundane it seems at first glance, something amazing will usually come from it...  :]

P.S. I think you should go watch WALL•E now... cause I sure am...  :D   yay...!  haha...

Colors

Ok, so on Thursday my parents, me, and B-Woz all went to the Bodies exhibit together and when we got there we found out that you could also get into the exhibit next door, Dialog in the Dark, for a little bit me and we had heard from some people that it was really good...  So we decided to give it a shot...  It was a totally eye opening experience (haha)...

Dialog in the Dark is a thing where you are shown the world through the eyes of a blind person...  The whole building is totally dark and light free...  You get legit canes and stuff too...  But at the end we were sitting in a table at the café (still blind) and our guide let us ask a few questions...  Through the questions, we learned that he himself was actually blind...  Another question brought our guide, Marshall, to ask us how to describe color...

I've thought of that before and I had realized that there is no plausible way to describe color but some suggestions were thrown out to use temperatures like warm or cool...  That works to a degree, but that doesn't let you grasp the enormity of colors and how they are...  Through the night, once I figured I would try to express my thoughts on this, I was thinking of colors and an adjective to describe them best...  Obviously it can never let someone understand but here's what I got...

For red, I thought and I slowly came up with PASSION...  I don't know why but that was always the word I thought of...  :\

For orange and yellow I thought of LIVELY or ENERGETIC...  Again whenever I see one of those two it linda just makes me want to jump or dance or something...

For blue I thought of SERENITY or CALM... I got that from the ocean and water... When you think of them or are there, you just feel calmed by the soothing sound of the waves crashing or of a babbling brook...  haha...

Whenever I think of purple, it seems to me to be REGAL or ROYAL...  Course it is usually the actual color of royalty so I guess the adjective was biased...  :|  haha...

White is obviously going to be the color of PURITY...  *Wash me as WHITE as snow...

And then there's black...  What I consider to be INTENSE and CONFINING...  This... This is the only thing that blind people see...  The choking, loneliness of BLACK...  So many times we take for granted color and sight...  After all, our whole society and life is practically based on this sense, the sense that can be the most easily taken away...  All you need to do is take away one thing and its gone...  LIGHT...

Marshall also brought up a topic on how blind people dream...  It was something that none of us had ever really thought about, not even he did until he had asked his totally blind from birth friend who told him that instead of dreaming sights, blind people dreamt with sounds and feelings...  If you think about it it is incomprehensible...  Instead of seeing what you dreamt last night, try to remember it using only touches and sounds... Maybe a little bit of smells too...

I don't even know why I decided to blog on this...  :\  But it is a very interesting thing to think about...  haha...  I guess it's just a way for me to try to be more gracious for the things that no one thinks about...  :\  Our sense of sight is so complex, I can't even begin to try to explain it to my family or friends, much less myself...  @.@

But yea, I guess that that was it...   :|  haha...

So Small, Yet So Beautiful...

Yea...  Music and photography...  Not too great at either but both make me happy...  And if done "correctly," they can lead to some wondrously beautiful things...  Of course, there is no such thing as a "correct" way in any field of art...  There can be no such thing as an "ugly" painting or "ugly" music just like there can be no "ugly" person... Everyone responds to the arts differently and has different reactions to everything, including people, as I'm sure we all have had bad encounters with people...  Well, almost everyone that is...  No matter what we do or are like, God enjoys and loves us all immensely and unendingly...  WE are God's art...  None of us are ugly...  None of us are "ugly" to Him...

Which makes me feel a whole lot better...    :]

So yea, I'm going to upload a butt-load of new pictures...  maybe a couple every post...  :\  I don't know...  And as you will probably find out within these next few posts or even in this one...  I LOVE flowers...  So small, colorful...  Beautiful...  Not to mention intricate...  Kinda like us, huh...?

I think that's about it...  Until next time...
